Catholic Charities Counseling and Adoption Services (CCCAS) is pleased to share that the installation of new carpeting in our main lobby and waiting area is now complete, thanks to a generous $8,800 grant from Erie Insurance. This improvement, part of our “Stepping into Healing: Enhancing Comfort with New Carpeting for Trauma-Informed Care” project, marks a significant step forward in our commitment to providing a safe and welcoming space for those we serve.
The new carpet replaces flooring that had not been updated since the 1970s. The old carpet, worn and stained with age, posed safety risks and did not reflect the warm, supportive environment we aim to create for individuals and families navigating difficult times. Now, the updated space reflects our values of care, dignity, and healing.
This project supports several key goals:
- Safety: The new carpet eliminates trip hazards and ensures safer access, especially for clients with mobility challenges.
- Trauma-Informed Care: A clean, calming, and thoughtfully designed environment helps clients feel more emotionally safe and supported during their visits.
- Aesthetic Improvement: The refreshed look enhances the overall experience for everyone who enters our building, promoting a sense of professionalism and respect.
This renovation is more than just a physical update—it’s an investment in our mission to provide compassionate, high-quality services in an environment that reflects the respect and care we offer each person who walks through our doors.
We are incredibly grateful to Erie Insurance for their support and for helping us create a space that fosters healing, hope, and safety for all.
